Didn't go far on our Sunday stroll this week. Crossed the Esk from the Bowholm to Cannaby, first checked out an old boundary wall near the Kirk then on to the Priory site. Interesting large shaped stones in the wall and  a man made water course from the Priory to the river. For a building that existed for almost 400 years there is amazingly very little evidence left, not only of the Priory itself but of any other activity in the locality.
Took a look at the Rev Donaldson's memorial in the Church Yard which apparently incorporated the Sedillia from the Priory.
